Where to Eat

The capital city of the region of Santander, Bucaramanga is known both as the “La Ciudad de los Parques” or “City of Parks” and “La Ciudad Bonita de Colombia” – “Colombia's Beautiful City”. 

Kasa Guane is located in the heart of the city with most of the best cafes, restaurant bars and nightclubs within a 10 minute walk of the hostel. The airport is located 40 minutes in taxi from the hostel and the bus terminal is 15 minutes in taxi. 

Bucaramanga is a thriving, growing city with beautiful scenery in the surrounding areas. Here are some of the things there are to do in an around the city;

• Paragliding at the fly site ‘Las Aguilas’
• Mesa de Los Santos - Horse riding, jet skis, quad bikes and loads of trekking routes.
• Canon de Chichamocha - amazing scenery with visitor centre and cable car
• Rock climbing at La Mojarra (over 100 routes) or the indoor wall 10 min’s from the hostel
• Coffee farm tours to the Mesa de Los Santos farm, Colombia's most exclusive organic coffee
• Vineyard Tour
• Visit a handmade cigar factory  
• Cheap Go Karting (8,000 cop for 5 mins)
• Paintball 
• Thriving night life in the city and electronic music parties in fincas overlooking the city. 
• Good value helicopter rides through the Canon.
• Fishing in sports fishing lakes (fish up to 45lb).
• Two international standard golf courses and pitch and put (6,000 cop 9 holes). 
• Great hiking, from city walks to nature reserves and ancient indigenous paths.
